San Diego Horton Plaza is a five-level outdoor shopping mall located in the Gaslamp district in downtown area and is chosen as one of the landmark shopping malls in the city. Horton Plaza was an actual plaza and a major public transit center before it was redeveloped into a shopping place in the mid-1980s. This multi-level architecture occupies six and a half city blocks and is a popular noontime stop for downtown workers.
